Our History....All of these parts are old stock from the Detroit Illuminating Service - Searchlight Company located in the Detroit area. The company has been in business since 1935. Originally starting out with the 24" lights we had migrated to the 60" searchlights at the end of WWII. At one time Detroit Illuminating Service was one of the largest operators of advertising Searchlights with over 33 Searchlights out at a time.....
Although it has been years since those golden days we still have a large supply of original new and used parts which we hope will help others keep their Searchlights going for years to come. News....After talking to a local Searchlight operator (Jimit Inc) I learned that they got started after buying out the Beardslee Searchlight company mentioned in the advertisement above. It really is a small world! Some of our current offering includes: Original cans of carbon (25 sets per can), A few NEW 60" Sperry Searchlight and Generator sets, Parts for the GE control BOX, and many hard (or impossible) to find items.
